Dear friends, fall is very definitely in the air and it’s the time of year when our thoughts turn to transitional looks to take us from the balmy days of summer into the cooler autumnal months. The temperatures are not low enough to warrant puffer coats and boots quite yet, so trench coats are the perfect solution for the dipping mercury readings. This year, trenches will be a big fashion trend and you will find them in various styles and fabrics. I’m sharing three of my favorite versions here.
The first is a light denim topper with delicate rhinestone trim. It’s eye-catching and stylish and will dress up even the most casual of looks. The second option is a delicate and feminine lace trench with a tie waist and flattering midi length. This is a dressier piece and can be worn over a dress or pants for a night out on the town! The third trench coat is sleek and modern in a faux patent leather finish and a rich toffee color. This is a versatile item that can take you from the office to dinner out with friends with equal ease! All three of these coats are reasonably priced and will stand the test of time.
I’ve also spotted trench coats, in-store and online, in snake-skin prints, plaid and gingham. I’ve even seen them styled as dresses! You can find an option to suit your taste whether you favor minimalistic styles or more opulent looks.
