Dear friends, I have been on the “contouring” trend for the past few years and am a big fan; what else can make you look like you just returned from a sun-kissed vacation in Rio, with the perfectly retrousse nose and having lost 10 lbs?! I know that a lot of people get put off by the garish and clown-like look of contouring, but when cleverly done and blended judiciously, it can give the face a beautifully sculpted look.
I have listed all the products that I have used for this look, including some items from makeup artist to the stars, Gucci Westman’s, line, “Westman Atelier.” I have been wanting to try some of her products and I really like the cream contour and blush that I used for this look: The trick to picking a good contour shade is making sure that it veers to the cool side of the color spectrum, since natural shadows on the skin are cool, not warm. I must give a shout out to my “Cle de Peau” concealer; there’s a reason that it is a cult favorite! Believe me, I have tried pretty much every concealer out there, and nothing compares to this product. It imparts the most beautiful skin-like finish to the skin without being heavy or settling into fine lines. It gives buildable coverage and lasts on the skin all day. I use the shade “almond.” Follow along with my step-by-step contour tutorial below:
Voila!! The finished look!
