Dear friends, I’m sharing a recipe for a quick and easy dessert for Halloween that’s loved by kids and adults alike! It’s a no-bake recipe that contains Oreo cookies, pretzels, candy corn and sprinkles enrobed in a delicious coat of white chocolate. What’s not to love?! Hope you all have a wonderful Halloween. It’s going to be a little different this year in the midst of a pandemic!
*Note: This recipe calls for the Oreo cookies that contain the orange center (usually available only at Halloween). I was unable to find them at my grocery store this year, so I substituted the classic white-centered cookies. The orange actually adds a colorful and festive touch, but don’t worry if you can’t find them!
Boo Bark
Ingredients
- 12-14 orange and black Oreo cookies, broken into large chunks
- 1 cup pretzels, broken into pieces
- 1 lb almond bark or white chocolate melts
- 1½ cups candy corn
- 20-30 candy eyeballs
- 1-2 tbsp assorted Halloween food sprinkles
Instructions
- Melt almond bark or candy melts according to package instructions. I used candy melts and melted them in the microwave in 30 second increments until soft. Be careful not to overheat.
- In the meantime, cover a large cookie sheet with wax paper or parchment paper. Spread broken cookies, pretzels and about 1 cup of the candy corn onto the prepared cookie sheet.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cookie mixture, spreading with a spatula so that all pieces are coated evenly with the chocolate.
- Quickly sprinkle the remaining candy corn, eyeballs and sprinkles over the almond bark (or melts) while it is still wet. Place the cookie tray into the refrigerator until set and firm.
- Break into small pieces and watch them magically disappear!
